Another One

This one was commissioned by one of DH's online video gaming buddies. After the first one, I didn't think that I would want to make another one again (labor intensive), but I wanted to help the guy out. He wanted to give it to his girlfriend who is a big Katamari Damacy fan. It was a surprise birthday present and she loved it.

I haven't been spending much time online, so I am quite behind on my blog reading. Please forgive me if I haven't stopped by your blog lately. One of the reasons is that we have been experiencing cable internet outages and it's frustrating. Other reasons for not being online is that we are trying to get some home improvements done and Melody is also keeping me quite busy. Last week, she learned to roll over onto her stomach all by herself! I am still amazed when I see her do it. She has been working on it for a few weeks and then BOOM she does it without hesitation. I think that it's only a matter of time until she learns to crawl.I can't believe that she is 4 months old. She is becoming more and more like a little person each day. The days and weeks go by so fast. DH and I are trying to enjoy all these moments with her. We feel so lucky to have such a beautiful and healthy little girl.
Now that she got her 4 month shots, she won't have to back to the doctors on a monthly basis. The Scooby Doo band aids didn't help distract her from the pain, but they look so cute on her chubby thighs.

The katamari ball is awesome, I can't believe you nailed it so perfectly! I crocheted the prince for a friend, but I never though about attempting a shape so complex.

Oh my, this is the coolest ever. I would kill for one. Ok, I guess that means I should try to make one. You are seriously way too cool to have the time for this while raising such a small and adorable daughter. Awesome. I'm going to put a pointer in my blog to this right now!

Oh my goodness, that Katamari ball is just about the coolest thing I have ever seen. Keep up the great (and VERY impressive) work! =]

The magnet ball is so fun! And your baby is so cute, as is your blog. I think I need to add it to my bloglines so I won't forget to come back.

Great Katamari.

Love the chubby thighs. Touchwood that she is all healthy and so damn cute.

You won a drawing at my blog today. If you could email me your snail mail address, I'll get it out to you soon.

awwwww, she's getting more hair! yay for milestones, huh? it is amazing how BOOM they do something after working on it! Last week, it was like Satya woke up and decided that she was going to pull herself up to standing on every piece of furniture she could find, and that's all she did all day! Nuts!

oh, ps. cool ball!

Her expression is adorable.
I recognized the Katamari ball even before I read the post... we love that game. Now the tune is bouncing around in my head. Without magnets, it looks like it would be a fun and pretty baby toy.

these are so cool! I know a couple people that would love one of these...now if only my crochet skills were up to snuff!

The ball is still pretty awesome. I can't believe how big Melody is getting! I think we need a comparison photo with the boys!

I love that ball! And those thunder thighs are wonderful and remind me of my eldest child when he was that age. Your little one is so sweet!

oh, how clever!

Cool katamari! I've never actually played that game before, but my brother has explained it to me before. I would be worried about all those strong magnets getting near my cellphone/iPod/computer.
Poor Melody getting all those shots! Sounds like nothing is going to stop her from being mobile, though!

You are a good friend! And Melody looks as adorable as ever, I can't believe she's 4 months already - time flies.

That ball is the neatest thing I've seen in blogland. I can't even comprehend how you could make something so intricate. WOW. btw...she is adorable!

You are too kind to make that for your hubby's friend. It looks great!

I think I've said this before, but Melody's expressions seems so knowing. That picture of her seems to say, "Mom, I have mastered the roll over. I will master crawling in two weeks time. You have been warned." =) Good times are ahead!!

The gaming buddy was lucky to have you help him out! What kind of games your husband is into? Mine plays Counter-Strike ... he can spend the whole night in front of the screen ... and I would hear "Fire in the hole" from time to time from his corner! LOL!
Melody is getting more and more cute by the day! I can see a little beauty emerging from that chubby face.

I'm pretty sure I remember you posting about the other ball you made too, and how labor intensive it was. Great results, as always! Your friend is lucky to have you.

Seems just like yesterday that you announced that you were expecting little Melody, and now she's already 4 months old. Time flies by so quickly. Spend as much of it as you can with her, you'll never regret it!

That ball is awesome, but Melody is the belle of the blog! I can never tire of looking at her cute baby face, and those chubby thighs are so cute! Thank you for sharing pictures of your little one. She is just a beautiful little angel.

I love your ball! Is it the sewing up that's annoying? Melody's plasters are cute. I personally use Winnie the Pooh ones ;)

Aw...what a sweetie!
Wow 4 months already? Doesn't time just go by fast?

What a cutie Miss Melody! Those bandaids are cute, I think those character ones are always the best, even if I may be a "bit" too old for them!

Wow that katamari ball sure is fun, what a great idea! Poor Melody, shots are the worst, but good for her for rolling over on her tummy, things get interesting when they are mobile!
