Easy Baby Cardigan

Since I can't seem to ever finish knitting a pair of socks, I am puting my sock yarn stash to good use. I had posted about this work in progress cardigan a while ago, but it has been sitting here with only one sleeve. I think that I have problems knitting things in pairs. I get bored and move onto new things. I finally picked it up and finished it. Perhaps, the gestation ticker (on the right of the blog) is putting some pressure on me. The pattern is as easy as the name suggest. It's all worked in one piece and there is no seaming. I love the yarn, the color and how it turned out. I made the 6 month size and I still have yarn leftover. A pair of booties are coming soon.Instead of knitting 3 rows of garter stitch, I purled 3 rows for the end of the sleeve. I also picked up 14 stitches for the sleeves because the number on the pattern didn't seem right.
I recently bought some baby sized hangers at Target. It's so cute seeing the baby clothes hanging in the closet.

Pattern: Easy Baby Cardigan(free pattern) by Diane Soucy
Yarn: 1 skein Duet Sock Yarn (original DK weight) Color: Lavender Delight
Needles: US 7/4.50mm DPN's and Circ's
Size: 6 months
Mods: I picked up 14 stitches for the sleeves and purled the 3 rows at the end instead of garter stitch.

That looks familiar! I love it in that yarn/colorway. I had to pick up more stitches when I did mine too, I couldn't imagine that was the right number.

Very cute! Did it take only one skein? I think I should use up some of my sock stash in this way too! I love how baby clothes look hung up in the closet too!
