My So Called Scarf

I have a FO to show! I stopped knitting when I got Napoleon in September and I was finally able to pick up my needles again a few weeks ago. I started this during my jury duty in the beginning of September. I still have to weave in the ends, but it's done! (Click on the photo to enlarge the pic) The pattern can be found here.

Here are a couple of new pics of Napoleon. He is getting bigger. I just took him to the Vet on Friday for another round of shots and he now weighs 3lbs and 12ounces. He is cuter than ever and it's so much fun watching him develop and learn new things each week.

Your scarf is beautiful! I'll have to try that pattern out some time.

That photo of Napoleon sticking out his tongue is so cute!

Thanks, it is a really nice pattern and it's easy to memorize. You should definitely make one.

Napoleon can't leave us alone when we are eating! Lol

I mailed your scarf via USPS Priority mail. I think it should arrive by Friday at the latest. Woo hoo!

What sort of castoff did you use for this scarf? I just finished one for my sister, and the castoff I tried (sewn cast-off) didn't work with the stretched out stitches. I'm going to undo it and tink the last row and just purl it, then try the cast-off again, but if that doesn't work, I'd like to know if you've found a good one.

TIA

I didn't have any problems with binding off the scarf. I binded off in pattern. For example, if you use Row 2 stitch pattern to bind off, do it twice(P2tog, P the 1st stitch again and then slip both stitches off) and you will have 4 stitches on the your right needle. Then stick the left needle into the previous 2 stitches and lift it up and over the other 2 stitches and off the needles. Then continue that way to the end until you have two stitches left and then pull the end through it.

Let me know if that helps. I did it that way and my scarf end came out nice and neat.
