Happy Birthday to Caesar! My little boy turned 2 years old today. It seems just like
yesterday that we picked him up from a farm in Maine.

I baked him a Canine Cake this morning for his little celebration. The recipe is from
Hannah's book,
My Sweet Vegan, and it was fast and easy. We are not vegan, but I enjoy baking all sorts of baked goods, so DH got it for me as one of my Christmas gifts last year. I baked it in a mini Tulip-shaped silicone pan to fancy it up, but I don't think he cared. :-)

Look at his self control! DH taught both the boys "the wait" command when they were puppies.

I cut it in half, so that Napoleon can have a piece of cake, too. I tasted a little bit of it and it's not bad. It's like a peanut butter carrot cake.

The boys ate cake for lunch and will be getting steak for dinner. Every year, I always grill up a steak for them on their birthdays. Since you can't give it to one without giving it to the other, they get to eat it twice a year. Lucky dogs!
Your boys are so cute! Steak and a special cake! I am sure they had a great day!
