Mochimochimochimochimochi at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio

Lion Brand Studio Store Window
A few of my knitting buddies and I met up at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio this morning. I always love seeing the store window display. Even people who don't knit often stop in front of the store to look at it. It's fun to see what they come up with.

 Mochimochimochimochimochi.
Anna of Mochimochi Land has a new fiber art installation at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio. My friends and I have been eagerly waiting to see it. We have seen Anna working on those little colorful creatures for many months now. It was so much fun to finally see the whole thing put together.

It's called Mochimochimochimochimochi! I am in awe of all the work that was involved in the making of this. And she knit them all herself.

I have to say that it was hard to resist not touching them. They have a "please squeeze me" look to them. Don't worry, Anna. We didn't touch it.

I couldn't resist getting a picture with the whole installation. Did I mention that the little creatures are knit with Koigu? AWESOME.
What I bought with my Groupon.
This is the second reason we went to the Lion Brand Yarn Studio. A few of us had Groupons for the store and we wanted to use it before they expired. I bought some "new to me" yarns. Although I have worked with plenty of Lion Brand Yarns, I have never knit with their LB Collection.

Ramen Shop
After that, our stomach was rumbling and our friend, Tomo, recommended a ramen shop near Union Square.
Pork Gyoza
We got Pork Gyozas.
Cold Ramen
Cold Ramen.
Shio Ramen
Shio Ramen (salt flavored soup).

(All photos was taken with my Blackberry phone so the quality is mediocre, especially on a rainy day like today.)

I have 3 skeins of the LB collection Baby Alpaca that I have yet to use. It's so soft, I can't wait to knit with it.

The food looks so yummy. Thank you for showing the address. I might have to trek down there and get some!!

What a perfect day! I've been wanting to see one of Anna's shows for ages, so I'm quite jealous... Hopefully I'll be able to get my butt down there soon.

Excellent choice on the ramen by the way- Those photos really have me craving noodles.

Wow! Thanks for sharing the display! It's very impressive. Thanks for checking out my little purse! I gifted the set yesterday, and what a wonderful satisfying response of gratitude I received! It makes it all worthwhile....
