What we are working on.

Slipper Socks
I know that there hasn't been much knitting shown on the blog these days. Believe me, I have been knitting. Almost all of my current projects are for publications so it has to remain a secret until they are published. Last night, I started a pair of slipper socks for myself. The pattern is called First Time Tube Socks by Ann Budd. This is my first time knitting 2 socks at the same time with magic loop. I have done sleeves that way before, but it was with giant needles. These socks are knit in a worsted weight yarn with a simple stitch pattern and no shaping so it's the perfect comfort knitting amidst all of my deadline knitting.

Cross Stitch
I can finally reveal my current cross-stitch project. Anna will be releasing the pattern soon and has already given a peek on her blog. Super cute, right? It's been my Netflix watching project at night and I am so close to being done. Though I still need to get a frame for it.

Castle
Last, but not least, is Melody's project. She says it's a castle. Everyday, she adds and subtracts to it. This is what it looks like today.

I love the Mr. Potato Head ear included in Melody's project. Where's Steves project?!?

Loretta, I am not sure you want to see Steve's Probability and Linear Algebra homework. LOL!

Hee, I love Melody's castle. :)

The pattern on those slipper socks looks nice. I've been meaning to make some thicker socks because I have a pair of boots which are a half size too big(don't ask) and I'd like to get more use out of them.

I like Melody's castle, too. She's a real individual in her thinking, isn't she! Your slipper socks looks great.

I loved this pattern when I saw it in the magazine - you're inspiring me to try out a pair of my own!

I love the castle, what a great imagination!
And wonderful work on the cross stitch. I was completely addicted as a child, but let go of it long long ago. I still think about getting back into it sometimes, it was super theraputic. I should try making one of my paintings out of needle and thread. hmmmm.

Sock in worsted, sounds lovely :)
I'd love to hear how the two on one circ goes, I haven't tried it yet but am tempted. I've had the itching for some cross stitch lately but I don't have the linen I want to use yet.
Melody's castle is great, I love how she changes things and adds to it. A true artist!

Melody definitely has an eye for color. Tossed in a little pink ear to throw off the primary color scheme going.hehehe
I LOVE that sock pattern and such a beautiful yarn you're using!!
I won't embarrass myself by telling how many thousands of dollars worth of cross stitch stash I have..it's crazy! ~sigh~ One day I'll pick it back up...

Love the touch of pink potato ear to complete the castle decor :)

You've been busy! I'm still slowly trudging along on my first shawl. Better slow and accurate than ripping back later!

LOVE the photo of the slipper sock beginnings. The stitch texture shows up so nicely. The x-sttich is super cute!!And I have to agree with one of the other posters that the Mr. Potato head body part is a nice touch for Melody's castle.

Ooh those slipper socks are going to be pretty!

Those cuffs look like the start of something good! I wish there was a pattern for gloves that started like that- It seems a shame to hide something so lovely beneath shoes and pant legs.

And you finished the cross=stitch! Do we get to see the final product?
