Trying to Beat the Heat.

The heat and humidity has been unbearable when Melody and I try to take our afternoon walks. A lot of times, she requests "Rain". That's what she calls the sprinklers. I am sure all this heat will be a distant memory when the Fall season comes. In the mean time, I will keep bringing Melody to play in the "rain".

I've heard it's been a terrible summer. I hope you can keep cool. Melody looks very content in the rain. Love it.

How wonderful that you have that resource - instant rain! Miss Melody looks like she's having a wonderful time.

And I am SO ready for fall!

My kids love the fountains, too - we've been on a fountain tour of the Willamette Valley this summer!

I know the feeling, it was so hot here in June. I felt like I was melting away working in a hot shop all day =)

It's been hot and miserable here too - and dry. I love her name for the sprinkler!

I'm glad you guys can find some "rain" when you need it! We've had a cooler than usual summer here in the San Francisco Bay area.

I love your handwoven scarves -- they're all just gorgeous -- and your photos of Melody! She's so animated and makes a wonderful subject :)
