Now, it's my turn.

Melody is doing much better now. She only has a runny nose and a little cough. And her mood is 100% better. On Friday, I woke up with a sore throat, so I can only assume I caught it from her. Thank goodness it's only a weak version since I tend to get sick very easily.

The one thing that I have learned is that babies don't like to have their nose wiped. You would think that I was torturing her from the way she cries about it. And forget about the nasal aspirator. I had to use it one night when I heard her choking in the middle of the night. DH had to hold her down and even then it was hard for me to do it. That baby can be very strong when she wants to be.

I really think they feel like they're being tortured then. I have never met a baby that lets you do it without a fight. I'm glad she's better and that you only have a mild cold.

She's growing so quickly! And still cute as ever.

Sorry you've got it too- we are all passing something around too.
They really act like you are torturing them when you do anything with their nose! Mine didn't want their noses wiped or faces washed off for years.........

Oh I sure hope you feel better soon, sorry you got sick too :( And btw, my 3 year old still HATES to have her nose wiped. And I bet the neighbors think something terrible is going on over here when I'm washing her hands and face off after she eats!

O, happy to hear Melody is feeeling better, and so sorry you are feeling lousy !!Pls take care (it's easier to nurse ourselves than kiddos) and do take extra caution not to pass back the bugs to her.

Learning to blow their noses is one big big sign the kids have grown up ... I am afraid Melody is still very far away from this achievement! LOL!

I hope you feel better soon. LS hated having his nose wiped until he was able to pull the tissue from the box and wipe his own nose. It's not so bad now...

Glad Melody is feeling better although sorry to hear you're sick.

I have noticed that about babies and having their noses wiped. I was babysitting a few weeks ago and this baby at our church that's normally SOOOOO sweet and never agitated completely flipped out when I tried to wipe his nose. I think it's just a survival thing...because you can't really explain and reason with them that you're not trying to suffocate them.

She's just the cutest baby ever. I know about the nose wiping thing. They act like you're torturing them.

Now I'm sending "get well" thoughts to YOU. And also your DH in advance!

I'm glad Melody is doing better. She looks it! Cute as always! She's smiling a lot in pictures now, isn't she?

Hope you feel better. My cure all for what ails you is a hot cup of tea. It seems to help with congestion and inflammation.

Glad she is better, hope you will be too soon. They really do hate getting their noses wiped, sometimes when B was sick I used a warm, wet washcloth, seemed to be a little better.

Great hair on the little one! And better soon before you have to torture her with the nose aspirator again.
