Back Online!

EDIT: After I published this post, the DSL connection went down. I almost cried from frustration. I called Verizon and my call got transferred to India. I spent 1 hour on the phone and they still have to send a tech guy tomorrow. At the convenient hours between 9am-6pm! I told them that I won't be home after 1pm because I have plans and can't sit around all day Saturday. Miraculously, it's back on now, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Nothing works for our apartment. Maybe I should go back to old school dial up. :-)

Hello! I did not take an intentional blog break. We went away for the Labor Day long weekend and when we got back, my internet connection was down. I use a cable modem from Time Warner Cable (Road Runner) and we have been experiencing a lot of problems this past year. I got them to send someone 2 days later, but it was working when the guy showed up! So, he left and did nothing. Of course, it stopped working that same night.

I was very frustrated and decided to call Verizon to see what kind of phone and internet deals they had. I ended up changing my phone company and ordering DSL. All the equipment arrived this week and we just had to wait for them to activate the line. You do your self-installation. In the mean time, the cable modem kept going on and off. Now, we are using DSL, but it's so much slower than cable. But I guess I don't mind the slowness if it means a constant connection. This is just day 2 of DSL, so I am going to wait a little bit more before canceling the cable.

I got lots to talk about, but it will have to wait. I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Here are some pictures of Miss Melody. She is growing so fast. I can't keep up with updates on her. She has been crawling super fast and sitting up by herself for a while now. There is no stopping this kid. By the time she goes to bed at night, I am so wiped out. While we were away, she was teething and she now has two front teeth on the bottom. We are going to her 8 month check up next week.
My friend, Jen, got her this Elmo book which she loves.

Welcome back!! It certainly sucks having no internet, so I'm happy for you to have it back. It's also great to see Melody, time really does fly doesn't it? She's looking adorable though.

I hate when my service is interrupted. Especially when I'm uploading pictures. And then customer service to another country - icky. No offense, but it is not my favorite.

Your daughter is such a cutie.

Glad to have you back online and I'm sorry that you had such a hassle with the internet company!

Your little chapter in the knitalong book was great! Although it is funny how they describe bloggers. Now I know a published knitter :)
