Jersey Shore Photos

Sorry for the disappearing act. My excuse? Well, excuses is more like it. I sprained my ankle while I was at Bradley Beach and it is still bothering me. I wear a brace during the day, but walking up and down the stairs with a baby hurts. The baby has been tiring me out! She can't crawl yet, though she gets ups on her knees and tries. Even though she can't crawl, she scoots and drags herself around the room. She is getting into everything if you don't watch her. I am also very tired because I have been suffering from Insomnia. I can't sleep even though I am exhausted. The lack of sleep is also giving me migraines. It hurts so bad that it makes me feel nauseous. All I could do was to lay on the floor next to Melody as she played with her toys. Of course, she chose the loud banging toys to play with.

Here are the photos from our vacation. I slept like a baby every night while I was there. Sniff, sniff..I miss my sleep.
Is there anything more idyllic than to wake up in the morning and having everyone gather on the porch to chat while enjoying the ocean breeze? Seriously, DH took a nap while sitting on the porch because the weather was perfect. Here is my friend, Jen, holding Melody on our first morning at Bradley Beach. Jen will be having her second child in October.Sydney with all 3 dogs on her lap. A lot of puppy love.Hunter holding Melody with her dad, Garry, in the background.Willow is Napoleon's girlfriend. They were inseparable the whole time we were there.Poor Caesar was the 3rd wheel.Getting ready for the beach. She is not loving the hat.Her beach outfit. All ready!Applying sunscreen on her face.Veronica is my friend, Jen's, daughter. She will getting a baby sister soon.Melody touching sand for the first time.My favorite photo of daughter and father. She loved looking at the waves.Veronica and her grandpa, Marc.Veronica was very busy with the sand. Next year, Melody will be able to join in the fun. This was taken in Yarn-It.The store is located in Deal, which was a quick drive from Bradley Beach. The owner was so nice and showed me a lot of great yarns. For some reason, all the yarn that I bought there was orange. We also made it to Wooly Monmouth in Red Bank. A very cute store in a lovely town. I got more yarn there and also ordered a pattern book which they were willing to ship to me.

Oh, I'm sorry - ouchies and no sleep: not a good combination. Maybe a nice soothing lavender scented bath before bedtime?
Hope you're back to normal soon!

I've had some nasty insomnia myself lately. I hope it clears up for you soon. I can't imagine being so dead tired and having a little one to take care of!

What fun to be at the beach! Love the pics of Melody in her hat and of course the one by the yarn.

Hope you can sleep again soon. I went through the same thing when my girls were 1 and 3. It got to the point where I wouldn't drive because I knew it wasn't safe. Quilting was my craft of choice at the time and you should see how many quilts I have from that time! I would sew until 3 or 4 every morning. Finally got over it with meds. Only took them for about 2 weeks to get back in the routine of a normal nights sleep then had no problems after. Wish I had tried it sooner instead of suffering for about 3 months.

Wishing you zzzzzzzzzzz

She may not love her hat but I totally love it and her in it!

I feel you on the insomnia thing, it's 3am here and I. Want. Sleep. I can only imagine going through it with a baby. Hope you get some rest soon!

That sounds, and looks, like a wonderful break. So sorry about the insomnia, I'm hoping it passes very soon, cos migraines are not to be sniffed at. Sending peaceful sleepy vibes your way.

Glad you are back and had such a fun trip. Great photos! Looks like such a relaxing time.

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well lately though. I have no idea what insomnia is like but sounds awful! Get well soon!

Looks like you had a lovely vacation :)

Insomnia and migraines--two things I know all too well:( I wish I could send some sleep your way, feel better soon! I hope that your poor head will be nice to you and stop all that mean aching too. It just doesn't seem fair when you have to take care of a little bitty one to have all that to deal with as well!

Melody's cuteness will help get you through it all :)

What a shame you hurt your ankle. The holiday looks great fun other than that. Melody is just as gorgeous as ever. That smile is beautiful.

Poor you! I can totally understand the frustration of insomnia! You could try catching power naps whenever Melody takes nap during the day. It helps. With such a young baby, sometimes housework can wait. Or you could try getting part time help to clean your place few days a week. You've got to take care of your health too. Melody needs you.

Melody looks so sweet and adorable with the hat! I'm sure she had a great time and it's good that you are able to relax and enjoy yourself.
