Sluggish

I am heading into my 3rd trimester and my energy level is dipping low these days. My back aches from carrying the extra weight and I constantly feel the need to use the bathroom. I feel so ungraceful as I waddle around. Plus, I caught a cold this week when the weather suddenly turned into Fall.

Yesterday, I went for my glucose screening test to check for gestational diabetes. They made me drink this super sweet orange drink and then I get to sit around for an hour and then have my blood drawn. Now, I just have to wait for the results to come back.

I can't believe that my pregnancy will be over soon. There are so many more projects that I want to make before the baby comes. I have been knitting mostly from my yarn stash and only bought a few new yarns when I found out the gender of the baby. However, there was some yarn stash enhancement this past weekend. I went to a giant Jo-Ann Fabric Store in upstate NY (Palisades Mall) and lots of things were on sale. DH said that I spent 2-3 hours there while he wandered through the mall. I got a lot of fun things for more crafting, but here are the yarns that I bought (for the baby):
Debbie Mumm Traditions "BeesWax", maybe for a Modular Tomten Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmermann. I bought 3 skeins, but I'm not sure if 447 yds is enough.Patons Decor "First Spring", for a Baby Pullover by Knitting Pure & Simple.Patons Shetland Chunky "Blue Jeans", for a vest.

the fall weather will do that to you (not to mention the baby on board)...but that's where knitting comes in handy. I've been eyeing that last Paton's yarn but I've got to finish my other projects before I can add any to my stash...it's so tempting though!

Oooh, what gorgeous yarns. I especially like the Debbie Mumm yarn. And I have to say, I think your baby will be pretty happy with all the fun stuff you've already made!

Hmmm I need to get to a JoAnn's it seems. I'm so excited that your baby is almost here. Yay for you and your family.

What lovely colors! Can't wait to see what you make with it?

Isn't Joann's great?! I've been known to be there for hours at a time too.

Hope your energy levels pick up...I've been feeling a bit sluggish myself and I don't even have a baby as an excuse. :)

I just took that diabetic test on Friday! That drink was full of sugar because for the next hour, the baby was kickin' about like crazy! I just sat there and watched my belly pulsate. Looks like you've been super productive with all the FOs! That's awesome. If only I were that productive. =)
