Knocked Up!

Sorry for the long absence. The past 3 months have been hell. The term "morning sickness" is wrong. I have "all day" and "all night" sickness. All I could do was lay in bed or on the couch everyday. And now the pregnancy is triggering my migraines, but I am not allowed to take any migraine medications. Even staring at the computer monitor makes me nauseous. I know have hundreds of emails to read through and I still owe people either emails or real mail. Please be patient. I am slowly starting to recover so I will get to those things asap. It has been interesting to stay off the internet for months since I am normally a internet junkie. I have a lot of blogs to read and catch up.

DH and I are thrilled and excited. So, I guess all the laying in bed and nausea is worth it. My due date is January 10, 2008.

OMG, congrats!! I hear tell that lots of morning sickness usually means baby girl (old wives tale?) and that it's over when you get to second trimester... so, there's hope?
I can't think of a better (happier) reason for you to be absent from blog-world!!

Congratulations!

If there's a mind-body institute check out their pain management classes. It was one of those that helped me get off migraine meds entirely and it's now been 5 years since I had a full-blown migraine.

Ann Webster's CD is excellent: http://www.mbmi.org/shop/showproduct.asp?id=66&fam=4

Congratulations! How awesome. :) You and I have the exact same due date too--how cool is that? Don't be hard on yourself if you're not able to do a lot--the more relaxed you can be, the easier the symptoms will be to cope with. :)

Congratulations!!!! I am in my 32nd week of pregnancy and I too had a hell of a first trimester (and some of the second). Have you considered getting acupuncture for the migraines? I have been getting massage and acupuncture monthly since I got pregnant (and before) and although it did NOTHING for the morning sickness, it did help me feel better.
Best wishes!
