You win!

Drumroll please! The winner of last week's 3 year blogiversary celebration contest is Schrodinger Knits! Please email me at oiyi.yau (AT) gmail (DOT) com with your name and address so I can mail out your Bird's Nest stitch marker.

DH made me a random number generator on Excel, so all I have to do is enter how many people left a comment and then hit enter and F9 and I got the number 11. Schrodinger was the 11th person to leave a comment. I hit F9 again and have a runner up in case I don't hear from Schrodinger Knits.

This week's contest will be announced in a few days, so stay tuned.

For anyone that is interested in making the Gianduia Sandwich Cookies, someone posted the recipe here. The book is quite interesting, so do take a look at it if you happen to be in a book store. I plan on trying more recipes from the book, so I will let you know how it turns out.

Here is another idea for the egg molds. Tovolo Farmyard Ice Cream Sandwich Molds. You can use it for making ice cream sandwiches, onigiri (rice balls), cookies, and use it to mold hard boiled eggs. A multi-tasker! Since these molds don't have a latch to close it like the Japanese kind, you will have to use several rubberbands wrapped around the mold to keep the pressure on the eggs until it cools in the cold water. These molds can be purchased at William-Sonoma, Amazon, and I have also seen them at Broadway Panhandler in NYC.

I received this lovely book cover from the very talented, Tania, this weekend. I think it's too nice to use! I was always like that as a child, saving things forever and not using it because I treasured it. As you can see in the picture, it's a dreary day in NYC. They were talking about a Nor'easter for Sunday, but luckily we didn't get snow. Just buckets full of rain! I heard that there is a lot of flooding going on. My back patio was starting to look like a wading pool at one point.

I think that Napoleon & Caesar have a great idea on what to do during a rainy, dreary day. Don't you wish that you can snuggle up in a blanket and take a nap?

Yay!! I'm very excited to win that beautiful stich marker (email to follow).

That book cover is beautiful - I would probably want to save it too - but I also say, it was made for a purpose, use it :)

The dogs look so cute and peaceful.

Oh the doggies are so cute,
what breed are they????

jennie,

Napoleon (white) is Chihuahua/Llasa-Pom mix.

Caesar (brown) is Yorkie-Pek/Llasa-Pom mix.

We got them from a breeder up in Maine, they specialize in small breed mixes. They are all very nice/sweet dogs, they love people, they love children, and they love most of other dogs.

Hi there!

Wow, that might just be the cutest collection of craft objects (and doggies!) I've ever seen all in one place…

Thank you for your sweet comment at woollywumpus… It's so good to know there are more Jane-Of-All-Trades sisters out there, who also sometimes obsess about life choices and milestones and all…

Your work is absolutely stunning. I've been admiring it for a while, as I also have your blog on my bloglines and can't remember exactly when and where I first came across it. The web – what a place! ; ) ej
