Winner and Final Contest

Caesar weighs 12 lbs! Seriously, I wish he weighed what most of you guessed. Maybe I should of brought him back for a refund? No way, I love the little guy. Napoleon weighs 9 lbs, but he also doesn't have all that fur that Caesar has. I am sure Caesar's fur coat weighs a few pounds. When I take the both of them outside, they are so small compared to all the dogs in the neighborhood.

Last week's contest winner is Amy Lu. She guessed 10 lbs, which was the closest guess. Please email me at oiyi.yau (AT) gmail (DOT) com (change the words at and dot with the appropriate symbols) with your address info.

Sheri, (you left me a comment on the previous post) you can email me at the above email address. Your blogger profile is not available publicly so I couldn't get to your blog to leave you a comment or email you. If that doesn't work, leave me your blog link or email address and I will contact you.

The final contest for the 3 Year Celebration Contest starts today and ends on Sunday at 9pm eastern time.

The prize is 1 skein of Fearless Fibers sock yarn in the colorway, Tulips. Perfect for a Spring pair of socks. The skein is 4oz/410 yds, enough yardage for a scarf or small shawl.

I am going back to the random number generator excel thing. Just leave your name or comment on this post for a chance to win the yarn.

I am not feeling very cheerful this week. Yesterday morning, I woke up to a bloody eye. I freaked out after seeing a big splotch of blood in my left eye. Apparently, I have Subconjunctival Hemorrhage which is also called Red Eye.

The definition I found from googling: A subconjunctival hemorrhage occurs when a small blood vessel breaks open and bleeds near the surface of the white of the eye. It may happen without injury, and is often first noticed when you wake up and look in a mirror. Sudden increases in pressure such as violent sneezing or coughing can cause a subconjunctival hemorrhage.

I remember coughing like crazy for a few minutes at 4am because there was a tickle in my throat. I had to get a drink of water because it wouldn't go away. Then I went back to bed. So, coughing must be what caused it.

There is nothing I can do, but wait for it to go away since it doesn't hurt or bother my vision. Perhaps a week or longer. So, now I have to walk around looking like a freak. DH thinks that I look scary. I think it looks so gross. I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror. That bright red blood splotch has now spread more on day 2. Sigh!!! I was walking out of my front door yesterday and a bunch of little kids were playing on the side walk and one little girl asked why I had a red eye. I just told her that I hurt my eye. I thought it might too scary to explain about blood vessels popping.

I've had the same thing happen to my eye before too. =( I hope the redness goes away soon -- it's hard to be patient in waiting it out!

Hello, thought I'd de-lurk for a chance to win some yarn. Sorry to here about your eye. Be thankful it's not permanent or that it hurts! I'm going to remember to not make any sudden movements from now on hehe.

Oh Oiyi, I'm so sorry to hear about your eye. To make you feel better, here is a story about mine: After finals week in college, I went straight to the airport for a trip to Paris from San Diego. Instead or resting when I got to the hotel, we went on a full day of touring the city. I'm not sure if it was my contacts or lack of sleep or what, but my left eye puffed up. I like to say that it was some sort of curse of the Notre Dame Cathedral.. I really looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, minus the hump of course. But really, it goes away, and you'll be able to laugh about it later.

I'm glad Caesar weighs 12 pounds so he won't get beat up by the neighbor hood cat!

Sorry to hear about your eye! My college boyfriend had that happen to him, too. Maybe you could wear sunglasses and act like you're a movie star? :)

Sorry to hear about your eye...it's happened to me twice before, once in college and once in law school. Clearly I should stop reading...
