On the way....

...to the hospital! My contractions started at 6am this morning and the doctor just called to tell me to to head to the hospital. Here is something to look at while I am giving birth. Wish me luck!

I finished this little project just in time (yesterday). I think it's adorable.
I weighted the body and the legs because the baby is top heavy. Now, she can sit on her own.
I used embroidery thread for the mouth and hair. I took a little liberty with the pattern when it came to the hair. I hope you don't mind, Hannah.

Pattern: Bitty Baby, free pattern by Hannah Kaminsky
Hook: US F5/3.75mm for the whole doll, and US G/4mm for the Bib
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Multi Color, color: Plum Pudding 0940 and Red Heart Super Saver Solid, color: Aran 0313
For Bib: Caron Simply Soft Brites (Grape) and Caron Simply Soft (Orchid)
Size: 6 inches tall (sitting)

Hi all, this is Oiyi's DH. I don't know how to post a separate entry so I will just reply to here. The baby came into this world late afternoon today. She is quite a cutie, both mom and baby are fine (Oiyi will fill in the horror details in a few days). Thanks for all of your kind thoughts and best wishes.

She is 7 pounds and 0.7 ounces, with her mom's button nose. I will oiyi officially unveal her later in the week.

-Steven (Oiyi DH)

What an exciting time. Giving birth days (7 times for 8 kids) were the most wonderful days of my life. Its the best present in the world anyone can open and recieve. Despite the pain. Contrats and best wishes.

Horror details are often an unfortunate rite of passage in these situations. Congratulations to your family... and thank you for keeping us posted. Your news is a delight.
