Pumpkin Scarf
This is a much belated FO. Tonight, I was going through my pictures in my knitting folder and came across this scarf. I had surprised my friend with a orange scarf in November, but I had forgotten to blog about it. Unfortunetly, I don't have many pictures of the scarf because I was in a rush to give it to her. I had invited her and another friend over for brunch and I wove in the ends 1 hour before they arrived. And I had to get started on making the food, so the pictures are not that great. Orange is a hard color to photograph. The above pic is her wearing it.
I had asked her a year ago what color scarf she would like to wear and she said orange. I have never knit anything with such a bright color before. I was worried I chose the wrong orange, but she loved it. She says that it's her favorite scarf and she gets a lot of compliments on the scarf whenever she wears it. And she is so proud to tell people that her friend created this scarf just for her. Ah, it makes a knitter's heart swell with pride!
The yarn is Lion Brand, Wool Ease Thick and Quick. The color is called pumpkin. I made up the pattern for this scarf. The key to making this scarf is using much smaller needles than called for. If anyone is interested, I can dig out my notes (scribbles on the back of a receipt) and write up the pattern.

Please do write up a pattern (if it's not too much of a bother). I think it's super cute!
Amy,
It wouldn't be a bother. I would be happy to do it.
Congrats on your win at January One for the Mason Dixon book!
