Reclamation in Blue

Reclamation is about reclaiming those unused one skeins in your stash. Any one skein of yarn will do. I decided to use this lovely Silky Wool made with 65% wool and 35% silk. The color reminds me of denim. This was a easy knitting project. Something that doesn't require looking at the pattern over and over again. In fact, you only need to remember a few rows and keep repeating. Lately, I have been gravitating towards these kind of patterns. Maybe it's because it's very comforting when life around you gets stressful. I just knitted until I ran out of yarn.It blocked beautifully and it's now ready to be gifted. I have a few friends who birthdays are coming up, so it's just a matter of deciding who gets this scarf.

Pattern: Reclamation by Stephanie Japel, you can purchase the pattern from Ravelry or from her website.
Yarn: 1 skein (192 yds) of Elsebeth Lavold "Silky Wool" , color 35
Needles: US 9/ 5.5mm

Cute! Also, it's always good to get ideas about what to do with those one-off skeins. Oh, how they plague me!

  13. Oooh yes, very nice. Great colour, and a fab way to put a single skein to good use. I'm also fond of the good mindless knits as a way to wind down and relax.

  19. cute scarf! I have been collecting one skeins lately, so it's always helpful to find a good pattern to go along with a ball of yarn (darn those indie dyers on ravelry!) :)
